Stuart Damon

Stuart Damon (born Stuart Michael Zonis on February 5, 1937) is an American actor born in New York. His name at birth was Stuart Michael Zonis-- his Russian parents fled to America after the Bolshevik Revolution.
After a series of appearances on Broadway, his appearance as the Prince in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella helped pave the way to a long career in television and soap opera. As Craig Sterling, he was one of the three stars of the cult 1960s series, The Champions. He has played the role of Dr. Alan Quartermaine, Sr. on General Hospital for many years, and repeated the role on Port Charles.
He has been married since 1961 to Deirdre Ann Ottewill. They have two children, Jennifer and Christopher, and adopted their grandson, Alexander, in 2000.
