Suffix

A suffix is a word, letter, or number placed after another:
- In linguistics, a suffix is an affix that follows the morphemes to which it can attach
- A suffix (name) is a style at the end of a person's name which gives additional identifying information about the person
- A suffix (computer science) of a string is another string equal to the last part of the string itself
- The terms "suffix", "file suffix" and "filename suffix" are used to denote a filename extension
- In the United States callsigns for broadcast stations may have a suffix of -FM, -AM, -TV, -LP, or -CA
