Outline
The story begins with the narrator lying comatose in a hospital bed. His wife and best friend are speaking about his condition, while his wife hints that there is something that she and the best friend are hiding. Later on, the narrator discovers that he is isolated from the world and facing his very own emotions. In this new concept of his reality he remains comatose until his awakening on Day 20, and struggles to sort through his own emotions and face his own past.
