The Show Must Go Off
From Free net encyclopedia
The Show Must Go Off is a DVD concert series by Kung Fu Films. Starting in July 2002 with Kung Fu Records owner Joe Escalante's own band The Vandals, the series has quickly grown to 19 episodes as of October 2005. The series mostly consists of (but is not limited to) live concerts by popular modern-day punk rock artists.
While early episodes of the series have been criticised for their low production values, most boast excellent sound and picture quality, and some innovative features. Episode 9 of the series is famous for the Josh Freese-cam, a camera focused on the Vandals drummer (including a picture in a picture close up of his foot pedal action) for the entire duration of the performance. Freese is widely regarded as one of punk rock's greatest drummers.
