Tracy Turnblad

Tracy Turnblad is the movie character played by Ricki Lake in Hairspray. She was also played by Marissa Jaret Winokur (and later, by Kathy Brier and Carly Jibson) in the Broadway version of the John Waters film.
Tracy Turnblad is the "pleasantly plump" resident of Baltimore, Maryland who wishes to become a dancer on The Corny Collins Show. Tracy also wants to integrate the show while winning the love of the hunky Link Larkin. She only wants everyone to be able to dance together on TV!
