U.S. Route 113
From Free net encyclopedia
U.S. Highway 113 is a spur of U.S. Highway 13. It currently runs for 73 miles (117 km) from Milford, Delaware to Pocomoke City, Maryland at U.S. Highway 13. It passes through the states of Delaware and Maryland. Prior to 2004, U.S. 113 ran for another 15 miles into Dover and rejoined U.S. 13 near the Delaware State Capitol complex. Although redesignation was approved in 2004, signs long the road still mark it was U.S. 113.
An old section of U.S. 113, known as U.S. 113A or Alternate Route 113, split off of U.S. 113 in Little Heaven, near Frederica, Delaware, traveled through the small towns of Magnolia and Rising Sun, before merging onto U.S. 13 near Wyoming. The former section of roadway is now occupied by the 58.5-mile non-freeway section of Delaware Route 1.
