USS Seahawk

No ship of the United States Navy has borne the name USS Seahawk in reality, but in fiction, at least two have.

The 1959 movie Submarine Seahawk is set on the eponymous World War II submarine, which is threatened with mutiny.

In the television show JAG, the aircraft carrier USS Seahawk (CVN-65) is a recurring location. Her part is played by USS Enterprise (CVN-65).

However, there is a Seahawk in British service. HMS Seahawk is not a ship, but the name for Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose, at Helston in Cornwall, one of only two shore establishments that play host to the Fleet Air Arm, the naval aviation component of the Royal Navy, and so very important in generating maritime airpower for Her Majesties Armed Forces and the UK as a whole.
