History
UADE 1.xx
UADE project was started by Heikki Orsila in April 2000. The first public release (version 0.01) of the program was made on 2000-04-09. Version 1.00 was released over 4 years later on 2004-10-30.
UADE 2.xx
First version of UADE 2.xx was publicly released on 2005-07-15. The motivation for a new version was easier embedding to general music players. Embedding UADE into a music player requires writing a frontend plugin that launches the emulator part of UADE into a separate process. The frontend plugin uses IPC by master-slave principles to acquire sound data for the player. Another feature improvement over UADE 1.xx is more accurate sound emulation. UADE 2.xx emulates can emulate the sound filter of Amiga 500 and 1200 models with some accuracy (not perfect).
