Val-de-Marne

Template:Infobox Department of France Val-de-Marne is a French département, named after the Marne River, located in the Île-de-France région. In local slang, it is known as "l'neuf quatre" (i.e. "the nine four"), after the official administrative number of the département, 94.

Geography
Val-de-Marne lies to the south-east of Paris, and is, together with Seine-Saint-Denis and Hauts-de-Seine, one of three small départements in Île-de-France that form a ring around Paris, known as the petite couronne (i.e. "inner ring").
