When in Rome (band)
From Free net encyclopedia
Image:When in Rome.jpg When in Rome was an electro-dance trio from England composed of Clive Farrington (vocals), Andrew Mann (vocals), and Michael Floreale (keyboard).
In 1988, a period dominated by hair metal groups and teen pop stars, they made the Billboard Top Ten with their debut single "The Promise," a synth-heavy ballad. Follow-up singles failed to achieve the same degree of success and they quietly faded from the limelight.
"The Promise" has seen recent attention in the 2004 hit comedy film Napoleon Dynamite; the song is featured in the final scenes and end credits. It can also be found on the Napoleon Dynamite soundtrack.
Floreale now lives in Dallas, Texas, and is involved in production work.
