Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Pruning instructions
From Free net encyclopedia
After one week, anyone may promote candidates to Wikipedia:Featured articles, or remove candidates that have failed.
[edit]
Promoting a candidate to featured status
Only articles without unresolved objections should be promoted to featured status, unless there is a strong consensus otherwise.
- Add a link to the article in the proper category on Wikipedia:Featured articles.
- On the article talk page, replace the {{fac}} template with {{featured}}.
- Move the discussion to Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Featured log.
[edit]
Removing a candidate with unresolved objections
- On the article talk page, either remove the {{fac}} template or replace it with {{fac-contested}}.
- Move the discussion to Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Archived nominations.
[edit]
Sending a candidate to peer review
Only do this if there is a consensus to send the candidate to peer review. There are two ways to accomplish this:
- Move the entire discussion to Wikipedia:Peer review.
- If the discussion is lengthy, move it to the article's talk page and post a brief listing on Wikipedia:Peer review.
