Worker democracy

From Free net encyclopedia

Worker democracy is a political philosophy that states as information technologies are integrated into the organizational structure of businesses, workers in those organizations will gain autonomy, flexibility, and control over the system or structure they work in. Organizations will extend these benefits to workers as the cost of communication decreases in order to more efficiently use worker knowledge, ideas, and creativity. This new organizational structure could evolve into a worker democracy, where workers control the organization’s resources, and define the organizational structure. This philosophy can also be applied to a society by expanding the voting to include all organizations and all people in a society, where every citizen in a society has a voice in any of the society's organizations.
