In contrast to stocks, bonds, and real estate (see equity investment), tangible investments are objects; there is a wide variety, including:
- Art
- Precious metals and gems
- Collectibles, such as:
- Postage stamps (see stamp collecting, philatelic investment)
- Coins (see coin collecting)
- Autographs and historic documents
- Memorabilia, such as political, military, and sports memorabilia
- Trading cards
- Jewelry and timepieces
- Fine wines
- Antique or classic cars
- Rare books
- Comic books
