Henry Lane Wilson (1859-1932) born in Columbus, New Mexico, was involved with Álvaro Obregón, Venustiano Carranza, Pancho Villa, and Gustavo A. Madero in the Mexican Revolution. He was captured at the Battle of Celaya. As a US ambassador, he arranged meetings between Felix Diaz and General Bernardo Reyes in order to oust President Francisco I. Madero.
