Loustal was a Brazilian band created at the end of the 1980s and named after the French comic book artist Jacques de Loustal.
The idea behind the band was to work with rock from the 1960s, incorporating elements from soul, funk and hip hop.
It was in this band that Francisco França started to develop the style that would lead him to fame as Chico Science.
