Greenvale is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Its Local Government Area is the City of Hume. It is between Yuroke and Attwood on Mickleham Road. Greenvale expanded largely in the 1980s and now has 2 shopping centres, 3 primary schools, including a large one called Greenvale Primary School, a community centre and 2 kindergarten centres. Greenvale has a privately owned school called Aitken College, but residents are pushing for a state government college. Greenvale has a fair proportion of its residents being of Italian descent as is evidenced by the multitude of ostentatious, two-story houses.
