Cousin, cousine is a 1976 French language film which tells the story of cousins-by-marriage who have an affair when they discover that their spouses have been unfaithful. It stars Marie-Christine Barrault, Victor Lanoux and Marie-France Pisier.
The movie was written by Jean Charles Tacchella and Danièle Thompson. It was directed by Tacchella.
It was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Actress in a Leading Role (Marie-Christine Barrault), Best Foreign Language Film (France) and Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen.
Cousin, cousine was remade in an English language version in 1989 as Cousins.
