Bernard MacLaverty (born September 14, 1942 in Northern Ireland), educated at St Malachy's College and the Queen's University of Belfast, is a Northern Irish author who has written the novels Cal, Lamb, and Grace Notes, which was shortlisted for the 1997 Booker Prize.
He has lived in Scotland since 1975.
