Mongo is a city in Chad, the capital of the region of Guéra. It lies 317 miles by road east of the capital N'Djamena. The city has a population of 20,443 (as of 1993).
On 11 April 2006, rebels of the United Front for Democratic Change (FUCD) took the central city.(1)
