Samuel Leeper Devine was an American politician of the Republican party who served in the United States House of Representatives from 1959 to 1981; he left office after being defeated by Democrat Bob Shamansky, who would lose the seat after one (2 year) term to Republican John Kasich, a conservative Roman Catholic politician and a future TV anchor for Rupert Murdoch's Fox News/cable TV.
