AST is a three-letter abbreviation that stands for a number of different things.

In mathematics it refers to the Alternating series test.
In medicine it refers to the enzyme aspartate transaminase.
In computer science it means abstract syntax tree.
AST Research, Inc. manufactured personal computers between 1980 and 1999. The name was then owned by AST Computers, LLC.
In aviation, it means Advanced Supersonic Transport.
In space, it means the Office of Commercial Space Transportation.
AST is an abbreviation for two time zones:
- Alaska Standard Time - note that "AKST" is commonly used to designate Alaska Standard Time, to distinguish between Atlantic and Alaskan time
