Acclaim Wireless
From Free net encyclopedia
Image:Acclaim Wireless.jpg The Acclaim Wireless is a primitive wireless controller for the Nintendo Entertainment System, produced in the 1980s. When working properly, the device used infrared signals to transmit data up to several feet away, allowing for wireless game play. A receiver plugged into the controller port and accepted signals transmitted from the controller. The controller also had a turbo switch.

Criticism
The technology was found by users to be highly unreliable, as the controller's infrared had to be pointed right at the receiver to register any button presses. The controller also used 4 AAA batteries which made the controller thick. [1]
