Andy Mitchell

Image:Andrewmitchell.jpg Andrew "Andy" Mitchell, PC (born April 21, 1953) is a Canadian politician, formerly the Member of Parliament for Parry Sound—Muskoka.

On December 12, 2003 he was elevated to the Canadian Cabinet as Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development. Mitchell has the prenomial "the Honourable" and the postnomial "PC" for life by virture of being made a member of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada on June 11, 1997.[1] In July 2004 he was moved to the position of Minister of Agriculture. He was defeated by Conservative candidate Tony Clement by a mere 28 votes, during the 2006 Canadian Election.
