Biography

Image:Babytrunks.jpg Chibi Trunks first appears in the Androids Saga of Dragon Ball Z as a new born baby. He has purple hair like his grandfather Dr. Briefs, but his facial features, stance and strong Saiyan pride clearly show that he is a descendant of the Saiyan royal line. His role becomes much larger by the Buu Saga, at which point Trunks is 8 years old and fantastically strong for his age. He goes Super Saiyan while training with Vegeta in the gravity room, an event that comes as a shock to all considering his young age (this is not, however, the first time he went Super Saiyan; the circumstances surrounding his initial transformation are unknown). Most likely, Trunks probably spent some time on his own training to become a Super Saiyan, behind Vegeta's back. Trunks might have been working on it for months before that scene in the gravity chamber. Super Saiyan seemed to come easily to Trunks, possibly because he was born when Vegeta was strong. However, like stated above, he might have worked on it for months, or a few years, after seeing Vegeta do it. Filled with pride, Chibi Trunks is adventurous and constantly looks for stronger opponents to challenge, much like his father. In the Fusion Saga, he and his best friend Son Goten fight Buu, both separately, and by joining together into the temporarily-fused being Gotenks. Trunks can be a bit of a spoiled brat at times, but does care for his family and Goten deep down.

Image:Gttrunks.jpg He achieves the stage of Super Saiyan far earlier than Mirai no Trunks (Trunks of the Future). When taken along with Goten's massive natural power level, it is fanon that the father's power level at time of conception determines the child's power, since the alternate Vegeta who sired Mirai Trunks was weaker than the one who fathered this Trunks.

During the final episodes of Dragon Ball Z, Trunks, who is now 18, appears to be developing nearly physically identically to Future Trunks. Personality-wise, he's rather more cheerful (as the world is not devastated) and continues to spend much time in the company of his best friend Goten. He has a sister named Bra who is approximately 13 to 15 years younger than he is.

He later grows up in Dragon Ball GT, becomes president of the Capsule Corp (often seen trying to escape from the drudgery of the office only to be dragged back by Vegeta), and helps Goku and Pan try to find the Black Star Dragonballs before finally being pushed off into a background character for the remainder of the series.
