Geography

The district includes the counties of Cumberland, and Colchester and the northeastern part of the Halifax Regional Municipality. Communities include Musquodoboit Valley, Truro, Amherst and Springhill. The riding's area is 10,086 sq. km.

History

The electoral district was created in 2003 as "North Nova", 93.6% from Cumberland—Colchester and 6.4% from Sackville—Musquodoboit Valley—Eastern Shore ridings.

After the election in 2004, the name was changed to "Cumberland—Colchester—Musquodoboit Valley".
