Image:NES Duck Tales.png DuckTales is a video game based on the Disney TV series, DuckTales, made for the Nintendo Entertainment System by Capcom in 1989. In this game, based on the television series of the same name, Scrooge McDuck has to travel around the world and collect treasures in order to be the world's richest duck.
The DuckTales game is widely regarded as one of the better NES games of its day, it was highly respectable and fun to play. It is also considered as one of the best Disney-based video games. This is a good example of the talent that was working for Capcom in the late 1980s and early 1990s, much of which was probably also involved in Capcom's massively popular franchise Mega Man. It shares many of the best qualities of the contemporary Mega Man games: good music, colorful and detailed graphics, excellent control with interesting gameplay dynamics (such as using Scrooge's cane as a weapon, tool, and pogo stick), and non-linear gameplay. One major difference between DuckTales and Mega Man, is that DuckTales is much shorter; an experienced gamer can finish the game within 15 minutes (although the ending would change slightly if you collected a tremendous amount of money). A sequel, DuckTales 2, followed in 1993.
DuckTales was also known as "La bande à Picsou" in the French NES version, from the name of the popular TV program La bande à picsou
DuckTales was later ported on various hardware such as the Commodore 64, Apple II, Amiga, IBM PC and maybe on Atari ST too, all thoses versions were released in 1990.
DuckTales was also released on the original Game Boy and featured the same gameplay, music and levels, though due to the difference in technology, the sound and graphics are different. The layouts of the levels were also slightly changed.

- Mrs. Bentina Beakly - She gives Scrooge some ice cream cones to restore his health.
- Launchpad McQuack - He flies Scrooge from the Duckburg HQ to the various lands in the game. - Gizmo Duck - He blasts through a wall for Scrooge if he has the remote control.
