FOX8

Several Fox Network affiliates broadcasting on channel 8 in the USA also go by the branding FOX 8 (i.e. WGHP; WJW)

FOX8 is a general entertainment channel available on Australia's Foxtel, Austar and Optus Television pay television services. The channel runs many programs produced by Fox. The channel is found on channel 8 on Foxtel analog and Austar standard and channel 108 on Foxtel Digital and Austar Digital. Fox8 is Foxtel's highest rating and peak channel. It is also News Corporation's peak Australian channel (similar to Sky One in the UK and FX in the USA). Fox8 is one of the very few channels to have been continuously broadcast since Foxtel's foundation 10 years ago.

The channel rebranded significantly at the start of 2005 matching the American Fox channels logo with the addition of the 8 at the end. Fox 8's overall graphics also changed in style. Shortly after the rebranding, the station received its first official website which is still slightly under construction.

Despite not producing much of its own programming, Fox8's shows are of a good quality by pay TV standards, while performing consistently well in the ratings.
