Fade has multiple meanings, including
- The loss of signal strength at a radio receiver, see fade (radio).
- Fade-in or fade-out, the gradual increase or decrease in volume, see fade (audio engineering).
- Similarly, an increase or decrease in intensity of a light source, particularly in theatre, see fade (lighting).
- The condition where brakes lose stopping ability upon heating, see brake fade.
- In golf, a fade is a type of shot where the ball curves slightly from left to right (for right handed players) and vice versa for left-handed players.
- A computer adventure game, see Fade (computer game).
- The book Fade by Robert Cormier
- In Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, "Fade" is another term for a Myrrdraal
- A style of short haircut, mostly chosen by men and characterized by a gradual decrease in the length of hair on the sides and back of the head as it moves from crown to hairline.
