Helen Clark MacInnes

Helen MacInnes (born October 7, 1907 in Glasgow, Scotland; died September 30, 1985 in New York, New York) was an Scottish author of espionage novels.
She was born in Glasgow, Scotland and graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1928 with a degree in French and German. Working as a librarian, she married in 1932 and moved with her husband to New York in 1937.
