Hiyama Subprefecture

Hiyama (檜山) is a subprefecture of Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan located on the Oshima Peninsula on the Sea of Japan side. It includes Okushiri Island. It was established in 1897.

Mergers
- On September 1, 2005 the town of Taisei from Kudo District and the towns of Setana and Kitahiyama from Setana District merged to form the town of Setana (now in Kudo District).
- On October 1, 2005 the town of Kumaishi from Nishi District merged into the town of Yakumo from Yamakoshi District in Oshima Subprefecture.
