Tampereen Ilves is a sports club from Tampere, Finland. It's founded in 1931. It works in ice hockey, soccer, futsal, floorball and ringette.

Ice hockey

Ilves has won most gold medals in Finnish SM-liiga, 16. Its home matches are played in Finland's oldest ice hall, Hakametsä.

The most famous Ilves-player is Raimo Helminen. Ilves is also famous for its big junior organization. Specially Ilves is known as a source of goalkeepers and skillful attackers.

Soccer

In soccer Ilves has won two Finnish Championships. In years 1950 and 1983. In 1950 it was with a name Ilves-Kissat (Ilves-Cats).

Nowadays Ilves's soccerorganization concentrates only in women and juniors. Men's team allied 1998 with Tampereen Pallo-Veikot. New club is called Tampere United.
