Jevnaker is a municipality and town in the county of Oppland, Norway. It is part of the Hadeland region.

Geography

Jevnaker is situated at the southern end of the Randsfjorden. The municipality is bordered to the north by Gran, to the east by Lunner, and to the southwest by Ringerike in Buskerud county.

Jevnaker municipality has an area of 224 km², measuring 25.5 km on a north-south axis and 21 km on an east-west axis. The municipality lies in the extreme south of the county of Oppland.

The highest point is Svarttjern-Ølja with a height of 717 Meters.

The administrative centre is Jevnaker, with a population of 4303.

Economy

Jevnaker is home to Norema, one of Norways largest kitchen manufacturers and Hadeland Glassverk, an old glassblowing factory with over 600 000 visitors each year, ranking it as the third most popular tourist destination in Norway.
