Legnano is a city in northern Italy, northwest of Milan, with a population of roughly 56,000.

History
It was scene of defeat of Emperor Frederick I by the Lombard League in 1176. See Battle of Legnano.

Together with Rome, Legnano is the only other city mentioned in the Italian national anthem by Goffredo Mameli.
