Morocco in the Eurovision Song Contest
From Free net encyclopedia
Morocco has only participated in the Eurovision Song Contest once, in 1980. Although not geographically, politically or culturally in Europe, Morocco is eligible to enter the contest as a member of the European Broadcasting Union. Morocco is the only African participant in Eurovision history, and currently has no plans to return to Eurovision.

Tunisia in Eurovision
Nearby is the state of Tunisia, who tried to get into Eurovision in 1977, and they would have been the first African state to do so. Tunisia refused to join when Israel announced their entry. It sounds unlikely Tunisia will even attempt entry in the future.
