Osiris (Stargate)

Template:Stargate character In the science fiction television show Stargate SG-1, the fictional character Osiris is a Goa'uld on which the original Osiris of Egyptian Mythology was based. Osiris is played by Anna-Louise Plowman.
Osiris was trapped on Earth with his mate Isis. His stasis jar was found by archeologists and he was able to take a new host: Sarah Gardner, who worked with and dated Daniel Jackson when they worked with Dr. David Jordan in their pre-PhD days. Osiris hid his identity and even made Jackson believe that Sarah's partner was taken over. However she revealed himself to Daniel and his comrades when Dr. Jordan found her ship and then fled from Earth on the ship, which was hidden under the sand of Egypt. During her meeting with Daniel she also found out what has happened to Isis, her brother Seth and other Goa'uld. ("The Curse")
Since then, Osiris hid herself and thanks to Zipacna came in contact with Anubis, which whom she allied himself. She even represented him on a meeting with the other System Lords, finally revealing to them who has dealt them so much damage. During the meeting she also met Daniel again, who disguised himself as Yu's closest human slave. In the beginning she didn't revealed his identity but then confronted him. However, Daniel was able to use the Re'ol derivat on her, making her forget who he really is. Later on, Osiris negotiated with the other System Lords about Anubis' status. Although Daniel was ordered to flee, he instead planed on taking Osiris with him to save Sarah, but his plan failed. ("Summit", "Last Stand")
Osiris later appeared at the end of season five, when she commanded a ship that destroyed Thor's ship and imprisoned him. She also searched for a hidden Asgard laboratory but when she found it, the researches were already removed. However during this time she was informed that Daniel was dead (in fact he ascended), which shocks her. ("Revelations")
In season seven, Osiris returned to Earth to try and gain access to the location of the Lost City of the Ancients, which she believed was stored inside Daniel's mind. It was also in this episode that SG-1 successfully captured Osiris and had Osiris removed from Sarah Gardner, thus restoring Sarah to her original self, but still with all the memories of what the Goa'uld did while in control of her body. ("Chimera")
Sarah Gardner's character has not reappeared in the two subsequent seasons, even though she presumedly remains sequestered at the SGC. Her abrupt removal from the show's continuity may be an example of Chuck Cunningham syndrome, but the show's continuity plot certainly leaves room for her return in future seasons.
