Pyrokinesis
From Free net encyclopedia
Image:ULTFF11.jpg Pyrokinesis is the postulated or fictional psi ability to excite the atoms within an object, possibly creating enough energy to ignite the object. Pyrokinesis would be a minor form of psychokinesis, similar to poltergeist activity. Stephen King's story Firestarter prominently features use of pyrokinesis. In fantastic science fiction and superhero comic books, a pyrokinetic is a person capable of generating flames from thin air, not requiring the consumption of oxygen or combustible objects to maintain the flames. Pyrokinetics in fiction have been depicted as able to increase the temperature in their proximity, create flames, and endure extreme heat and flame without being harmed.

Pyrokinetic abilities
- The ability to spontaneously combust all or portions of one's body into a fiery plasma at will, without any harm to one's person whatsoever.
- The ability to transform and convert portions of or all of one's body into pure fiery plasma at will, enabling one to gain all of the properties of fire, including burning by touch, duplicating, spreading out, combusting, blending and molding with normal fire to increase one's capabilities, heal oneself, become intangible, become practically invisible by blending in with fire, etc. They are also able to alter one's size, shape, intensity, density, and temperature at will.
- The ability to generate any shape, construct, object, or weapon the wielder can think of out of fire from any part of his body at will.
- The ability to project destructive, incinerating blasts of fire in the forms of long streams, beams, bolts, spheres (fireballs), or even more complex shapes, such as letters in skywriting.
- The ability to project fire from one's hands and feet when punching or kicking.
- The ability to augment one's physical capabilities and powers to greater levels by absorbing any fire, heat, magma, lava, microwaves, plasma, and/or solar energy from his immediate environment/vicinity.
- The ability to project miniature blinding flares that can be used as a distraction tactic, blind opponents, or signal allies and teammates.
- The ability to summon a firestorm at will over great amounts of area.
- The ability to project, breathe, and exhale fire from one's mouth at will, like a dragon.
- The ability to project destructive beams of fire from one's eyes at will.
- The ability to achieve supersonic flight via high hydrogen content within one's flame that enables one to achieve enough buoyancy to float in midair. By forming jets beneath one's feet, directed behind one, one can achieve speeds up to at least 140 miles per hour. One can also achieve flight by project fire constantly beneath oneself, engulfing oneself in a vortex of fire that acts as a sort of personal supersonic comet of fire, control convection currents that enable oneself and others to gain sufficient buoyancy to float in midair, ride a column of telekinetically-controlled flame that acts similar to a supersonic, jet-propelled surfboard, and create super-heated air currnets that push one forward through the air
- The ability to telekinetically manipulate and control any fire or flame, even ones one did not manufacture. One usually possesses complete control over the size, intensity, temperature, and shape of any flame at will. One can animate fire do one's bidding, extinguish any amount of unwanted fire within one's vicinity, or amplify said fire to the degree of an immeasurable inferno.
- The ability to engulf one's fists and feet in flame in order to burn opponents with one's punches or kicks.
- The ability to increase catalytic combustion cycles, enabling oneself to violently raise the temperature around himself to spontaneously combust any object or being he wishes.
- The ability to engulf one's fists and/or feet in incinerating flames at will, burning his opponents with his punches and kicks.
- The ability to transform one's forearms into incinerating, razor-sharp blowtorches, capable of slicing through solid titanium, melt projectiles, evaporate and dissolve water on contact, and shield oneself and others from attacks.
- The ability to generate force fields and shields of flame, capable of incinerating nearly any material or substance, including water, on contact.
- The ability to mentally control the ambient heat energy within one's immediate environment, increasing the temperature of the surrounding atmosphere to thousands of degrees if one wishes.
- The ability to generate thermokinetic energy in any form of one's choosing.
- The ability to project searing, incinerating waves of intense heat, overwhelming opponents.
- The ability to automatically incinerate any projectiles, barriers, or obstacles projected or in the way at/of oneself before they make contact with one's skin.
- The ability to melt any material or substance, depending on the temperature and intensity of one's heat.
- The ability to drain the body heat of opponents in order to heal oneself or allies, or weaken one's opponents.
- The ability to heat the ground beneath and surrounding oneself, making it impossible for opponents to touch the ground without burning their feet.
- The ability to warm the atmosphere around oneself or one's allies and partners to heal themselves or oneself.
- The ability to cauterize one's or an ally's injury, healing one's or their wounds.
- The ability to sense any flame.
- The ability to see in the infrared spectrum, enabling one to see one's surroundings as heat signatures, as well as in the dark. They are also able to sense and feel the presence of others by their heat signatures and temperatures.
- The ability to transform and convert all or portions of oneself into magma, lava, or volcanic ash. In one's magma form, one possesses great additional strength and durability, the ability to convert parts of one's body into super-tough magma weapons, project magma and molten rock as razor-sharp or ballistic projectiles, and the ability to absorb magma into one's body for even more strength and durability. In one's lava and volcanic ash forms, one possesses the ability to alter one's size, shape, and density at will, melt through objects in one's lava form, slide through narrow cracks and openings in both his lava and ash forms, project destructive blasts of lava and ash, etc.
- The ability to generate, project, and control lava and magma at will, telekinetically manipulating magma and lava at will, lift it from the Earth's core at will and manipulate it to one's choosing, riding on slides of magma and lava, erupting dormant or active volcanoes, creating volcanoes of any size at will by telekinetically causing magma from far beneath the Earth's surface to rise and break through the Earth's surface beneath oneself, creating and animating monstrous beings of magma and lava to obey one's commands, and project destructive blasts of magma and lava at opponents by turning nearby rock molten and then telekinetically hurling it at one's target.
- The ability to stand in molten lava without harm to oneself.
- The ability to generate, control, project, and manipulate microwave energy.
- The ability to transform the molecules of one's body into solar plasma reactors, enabling oneself to convert all or portions of himself into thermodynamic energy furnaces that release heat discharges, luminescent radiance, raw explosive energy emission, focused pyrotechnic blasts and displays, concentrated plasma beams, and shaped plasma fields and charges that can deflect solid matter and/or displace volumes of air on impact for a heatless release of concussive force.
- The ability to ionize matter (usually air) through a mentally triggered unknown biochemical process so that it is transformed into superheated plasma.
- The ability to absorb solar energy and convert it into augmented physical power and capabilities, concussive blasts of solar energy and sunlight, generate intense solar radiation and sunlight, etc.
- Immunity to the effects of fire, heat, magma, lava, microwaves, plasma, sunlight, solar energy, and solar radiation. Able to survive in the hottest suns, stars, supernovas, volcanoes, and deserts, as well as immunity to the effects of heatstroke, sunburns, overheating, fevers, etc.
