Ron Dembo

Ron S. Dembo is a key financial engineer and enterpreneur, best known for equivalence of 'risk' and regret. He is the founder of Algorithmics Incorporated, a financial risk management company based in Toronto that specializes in risk management software.

After a distinguished academic carrer in engineering and operations research, he entered the financial world by creating Algorithmics. The company enjoys high esteem in the financial institutions world, with a portfolio of clients spanning banks, commercial enterprises, and hybrid institutions such as Hyundai Securities.

The company pretty much operates like a high-powered educational institution with a unique culture in the business world. With the concept of Risklab, Algorithmics establishes presence in top technical schools in Europe and the Americas. These business units are essentially research laboratories that operate under a business plan. There is already strong presence in the Eidgennössische Technische Hochscule Zurich in the heart of the world's most concentrated financial region.
