Svelvik is a municipality in the county of Vestfold, Norway.
The village is quite characteristical, with small winding streets and traditional, white painted houses. Svelvik is a summer paradise with many possibilities for swimming and sun bathing. However - you must be careful - as Skjæra is full of glass shards, and sewer water.
The narrow Svelvikstrømmen sound divides the municipality, and is served by a ferry.
