TheOpenCD
From Free net encyclopedia
Image:TOCD-Main-Menu.png TheOpenCD project aims to introduce users of Microsoft Windows to the benefits of free and open source software (FOSS). It is a CD image that can freely be downloaded and copied. The site screens programs for stability, quality, and ease of installation, and only distributes programs available under an Open Source License (OSI approved), which allows users to freely use and distribute them. The site also makes the source code for these programs available.
Similar projects are GNUWin II, WinLibre, Open Source Software CD, and Chantra (Thai).
