The Remote Part
From Free net encyclopedia
Template:Album infobox The Remote Part released 2002 (see 2002 in music) is the fourth album by Scottish band Idlewild.
Its much more commercial sound (when compared to previous releases) only ever aided it in becoming Idlewild's most successful album sales-wise yet. The singles were 'You Held the World in Your Arms', 'American English' and 'Live in a Hiding Place'. At the end of the final song, In 'Remote Part/Scottish Fiction', the Scottish poet Edwin Morgan recites a poem entitled Scottish Fiction which was written especially for this album.
