Trivia
- Triple H has wrestled at every Backlash PPV.
- On three occassions (1999, 2004, and 2005), the main event for Backlash was identical to the main event for that year's WrestleMania (with the exception that the 1999 Backlash match featured Shane McMahon as the special referee rather than Mankind). The match results were always identical as well.
- Trish Stratus lost twice to Jazz in a Backlash PPV event. First in 2002 and the other in 2003, both matches for the Women's Championship.
- Backlash 2004 is the first Edition of Backlash to take place outside of the United States
