Woof

The term woof has multiple meanings:
- Woof is an onomatopoeic term in English for the barking of a dog.
- In British English, especially in northern England, woof refers to the dogfish, a common type of small shark.
- In weaving, the term woof or weft is used to refer to the threads or yarn that run from side to side on a loom.
- In acoustics, woof is low-frequency sound from a loudspeaker. See also woofer.
- Among sports fans (particularly in Internet forums), woofing refers to boasting about the outcome of (usually future) sporting events, or the alleged superiority (or inferiority) of a given team or athlete.
- In marketing WOOF refers to Well Off Older Folks, a market segment.
- In organic farming, WOOF is an acronym for "work on organic farm".
- Woof! was a 1980s/1990s British children's television series
- Woof is Waldo's (UK Wally's) dog in the popular picture search book series, Where's Waldo?
- Woof is a 1999 single from rapper Snoop Dogg.
