BBC Radio York is the BBC Local Radio service for the English county of North Yorkshire. It broadcasts from its studios in York on 95.5 (Olivers Mount, Scarborough), 103.7 (Acklam Wold near Leavening, midway between York and Driffield near the A166) and 104.3 (Woolmoor, near Upsall four miles north of Thirsk close to the A19 - for Harrogate, Northallerton and the Yorkshire Dales) FM, 666 (Fulford), 1260 (Scarborough) AM and by Real Player from their website. It is not on DAB yet. It started on July 4th 1983.

Acklam Wold is the strongest frequency on 103.7FM which is for Ryedale and the Vale of York, and the 140ft transmitter also has the commercial station, Minster FM on 104.7FM. The Olivers Mount transmitter also has Yorkshire Coast Radio on 96.2FM, as well as television and national radio frequencies.

Programmes include Alex Hall's late night call-in, weekdays and Sunday from 10pm until 1am, and Martin Kelner on Friday and Saturday from 10pm until 1am both of which are pan-Yorkshire broadcasts. Programmes on weekdays from 7pm until 10pm are also shared across Yorkshire on BBC local radios Humberside, Sheffield and Leeds.

  • 0500-0600 The Early Show - Regional Network Programme.
  • 0600-0900 BBC Breakfast - Anna Wallace & Alan Watkiss.
  • 0900-1200 Elly - A consumer affairs and light chat show.
  • 1200-1400 Jules and Julia - Husband and Wife team pair up to present.
  • 1400-1700 Afternoon Show - Jerry Scott presenting from Scarborough.
  • 1700-1900 News Talk - Jonathan Cowap, a more serious news programme, including elements of the old phone in.
  • 1900-2200 Night Network - Regional programming, including Frank Wappat, Cloud 9 & sports programming.
  • 2200-0100 Night Network Late Night Chat - Alex Hall or Martin Kelner.
  • 0100-0500 As BBC Radio 5 Live
