Title
WikiProject on Drugs
Scope
This WikiProject aims primarily to organize and expand upon the existing drug-related articles on the Wikipedia, and to create new articles where necessary. A major goal is consistency, through the use of a standardized set of sections and templates.

Organization/Structure
Organization is based on drug classification. Most drugs belong to a family of similar compounds. Examples include:
- Barbiturates - phenobarbital, amobarbital, secobarbital, etc.
- Benzodiazepines - diazepam, lorazepam, alprazolam, etc.
Whenever possible, drugs should be categorized by structure, not function. For example, the two families of drugs listed above would be classified as barbiturates and benzodiazepines (structure), not sedatives or anticonvulsants (function).
See Wikipedia:WikiProject_Drugs/categorization for more information.
Goals
- Categorize all drug-related pages.
- Create msg boxes for Drug and each category (the drug msg-box will contain all categories, and specific categories' msg-boxes will contain links to actual articles of specific drugs, with possible sub-categorization).
- Remove inconsistencies in related articles and expand all stubs under the jurisdiction of the project.
- Create standard infoboxes for all drug pages.
- Find somebody who can make nice chemical structure diagrams for lots of drugs. See:
- Find suitable photographs for drug pages. See:

Infobox
- The drugbox now has a simpler form. Please use this simplified template so others can edit drugbox information more easily. The new version also includes spots for PubChem and DrugBank codes, which are incredibly useful. Click edit, copy and paste the XML code from below, then fill in all available data.
